History
1920: Eng. Max Benedict and Georg Jäger founded the electric repair workshop BENEDIKT & JÄGER. Initially they repaired electrical motors and generators and designed small panels and resistor starters.
1929: By 1929, the company had grown to 50 employees producing starters, sliding resistors, oil immersed contactors, and switches.
1938: Benedikt & Jäger employee number rises to 118 as the company expands into its first owned building.
1950’s: Customer demand for quality products led to the rapid growth and development of the company.
1976: Due to success in export, Benedikt & Jäger moves to new factory in Vienna scaling over 109,000 square feet (10,200 square meters).
1980: Benedikt & Jäger products emerge in the United States electrical control industry.
Today: B&J USA, Inc. operates from warehouse and office in Clayton, North Carolina.
